CONGRATULATIONS TO AMANDA MILLER

There is a saying that goes something like, some horses come into your life and quickly go, others
make hoof prints on your heart and you are never the same. I have been blessed in my life to know
several of those very special ones and Pivot is up there with the best of them. He came into our
lives unexpectedly and without planning as a gangly three year old . Imagine this royally bred, cocky
youngster from one of the most prestigious farms in the country, steps off the trailer to our little
farm in Great Falls, Montana, what MUST he have thought! But, he made this his castle & never let any
of us forget who ruled! However, he was a kind and generous monarch with a great sense of humor
and a huge heart.
Because of who he is, I made one of the most difficult decisions of my life, to find him a new home
where he could have the things we cannot provide for him here. He had wonderful care, wonderful
servants, lovely mares each spring but I could not give him his own field of real grass and a shade
tree to snooze under in the summer time. In December 2009 Pivot made the journey to Clayton, NC
to live with Amanda Miller. He has settled in well and Amanda is already getting to know him on the
ground and under saddle. She has great plans for Pivot both in the breeding shed and in a new riding
